Parcel Pending and Package Concierge Are for Sale: What Property Owners Should Know

Quadient, the company behind Parcel Pending and Package Concierge, is selling its lockers business. Here is what was announced, what it means for your property, and six questions to ask before your next renewal.

What Quadient announced

  • On September 23, 2026, Quadient announced that its board approved selling its entire lockers business so the company can focus on its digital software business.
  • As a first step, Quadient agreed to sell its UK locker network (about 3,000 lockers) to the parent company of Royal Mail for an enterprise value of 65 million euros.
  • Quadient has launched a sale process for its remaining lockers business, including North America, where Parcel Pending and Package Concierge operate.
  • Quadient now reports the lockers business as held for sale, and says the sale will remove about 120 million euros of planned locker capital spending over the next five years.
  • Quadient says the business continues to operate as usual and that it remains committed to its customers.

What it means for your property today

Nothing has to change today. Your lockers still work and Quadient says it is operating as usual. But your package system is about to have a new owner you have not met, and the terms you signed may move with the sale. An ownership change is the right moment to know exactly where you stand: your renewal date, your exit terms, and what is promised in writing.

6 questions to ask when your locker vendor changes hands

  1. 1

Who will hold my contract after the sale?

Find the assignment clause. Many service agreements let the vendor assign the contract to a buyer without your consent. Note your renewal date and any auto-renew notice window while you are in there.

  2. 2

Will my pricing change at renewal?

A new owner may set new subscription, software or service fees. Ask in writing whether your current terms carry over, and for how long.

  3. 3

Will the resident app, software and carrier access stay the same?

Ask whether the app, the management portal and the carrier integrations residents rely on today are guaranteed to continue, and what notice you would get before any change.

  4. 4

Who handles support and service calls?

Confirm who answers resident and staff calls, the hours, and the response times for a down locker. Get the current terms in writing so you have a baseline.

  5. 5

What happens to my hardware warranty and parts?

Ask who honors the warranty after the sale and how long replacement parts and repairs will be available for your model.

  6. 6

Who owns my package and resident data?

Ask how you can export delivery history and resident records, and what happens to that data if you change systems.

Keeping your current lockers? The package room still needs an owner

FAQs

Is Parcel Pending going out of business?

No announcement says that. Quadient says it is selling its lockers business and continues to operate as usual. A sale means a new owner, not a shutdown. The open questions are what a new owner changes, and when.

Is Package Concierge part of the Quadient sale?

Package Concierge has been part of Quadient's lockers business since Quadient acquired it in December 2024. Quadient's sale process covers its remaining lockers business, including North America.

When will the Quadient lockers sale close?

Quadient expects to complete the sale of its remaining lockers operations within 12 months of the September 2026 announcement. No buyer for North America had been announced as of October 30, 2026.

Do I need to do anything right now?

Nothing has to change today. It is a good time to pull your contract, note your renewal date, and get the current support and pricing terms in writing so you can compare once the new owner is known.

Should I switch to Luxer One® now or wait?

Most owners time a switch to their renewal window. A quote and a free contract review now give you a clear option either way. A Luxer One® install takes 4 to 6 weeks from a signed agreement.
